Coaching Staff

Alex Anaya enters his 15th year of coaching high school baseball. He began his coaching career as the head baseball coach at Northland Prep Academy in Flagstaff, Arizona, before relocating with his family to Northern Colorado.
Since moving to Colorado, Coach Anaya has served one season as an assistant coach at Mead High School and six seasons in the same role at Loveland High School. Throughout his time as a varsity assistant, he had the opportunity to coach under the leadership and mentorship of his father-in-law, former professional baseball player Greg Brock. Learning from Brock provided invaluable experience and insight that has prepared Coach Anaya to start and build the baseball program at Timnath.
Coach Anaya firmly believes that athletics play a vital role in teaching life lessons. The Timnath Cubs Baseball Program is built on a foundation of strong work ethic, determination, and perseverance. Baseball is a humbling game, and he emphasizes the importance of showing up each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to put in the work, and those are habits that lead not only to success on the field, but also to the development of strong character.
A core value of the Timnath Cubs Baseball Program is the importance of surrounding student athletes with high-quality assistant coaches. Coach Anaya believes that a strong, unified coaching staff, one that models consistency, accountability, and care for players, plays a critical role in the continued growth and success of the program. The commitment and expertise of all the coaches help create an environment where players are supported, challenged, and developed both on and off the field.
Outside of baseball, Coach Anaya enjoys spending time with his wife, Taylor, and their children Baylee and Austin, embracing the Colorado lifestyle through camping, hiking, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, trail running with his dog Brew, and barbecuing with friends and family.

In that time Coach Rotner has worked with players at various skill levels, attending high level coaching clinics, and has worked with a number of other coaches as well. Coach Rotner also helped start the Force Program, which has made a large imprint on Northern Colorado.
One of the values or ideals that Coach Rotner believes in is attitude and effort, as well as overcoming adversity, and handling success. By holding this standard Coach Rotner hopes to impart certain skills on and beyond the diamond in helping these young men develop into good people and excellent ball players. Coach Rotner is very happy to be a part of a program which holds to the same standards and beliefs.
Outside of baseball Coach Rotner enjoys spending time with his family, wife Jaime and sons Aiden and Carson, traveling when possible, walking his crazy dog Ozzy, and helping his former students succeed in college or life after high school.

Anthony Kargoll enters his 2nd year of coaching high school baseball. He began his coaching career at Timnath Middle-High School in 2025, after serving as youth baseball umpire in Highlands Ranch for 5 years.
Since joining the Timnath Cubs in 2025, Coach Kargoll has served as an assistant JV coach during the spring season, and an assistant coach on the 16U/15U Summer Travel team. Coach Kargoll will serve as a head coach for the 15U Timnath Cubs summer team.
Coach Kargoll believes that baseball shows its players the path to becoming the ultimate self-improver. Baseball as a game cannot be perfected, but the pursuit of perfection is still the standard. There is always something a player to improve on, and that desire to strive for perfection, even though it can never be obtained, is one of the biggest lessons that baseball teaches. When father time finally comes calling a player hangs up their spikes, the lessons baseball taught will stick well into every player’s post-baseball life. A baseball player, if taught by the game right, will become someone who strives for perfection for the rest of their life.
Along with baseball, Coach Kargoll completed his student teaching in social studies at Timnath Middle-High School in Spring 2025. Currently, he is a history graduate teaching assistant and master’s student at Colorado State University.
Outside of baseball, Coach Kargoll enjoys spending time with family and friends; reading, and finding time to get outside in our lovely state.
